Rainmaker (Palo de Lluvia)

The rain maker originates from the desert regions of South America, mainly from Peru and Chile. It is made from a dried, hollow part of the cactus, whose thorns are pressed inward. Inside the cactus there are also small seeds or stones which are hindered in falling through the rain maker by the thorns, creating a long-running sound that resembles rain. The rain makers are decorated with two ribbons in rainbow colours. They are available in different lengths.
