The production of clay figures has a long tradition in Peru. These figures are made in different areas of Peru. Every region has its typical style. Just like the other ceramic articles made of clay, they are lovingly hand-painted after modeling. These figures come from the Ayacucho region in Peru. A region that has suffered from terrorism for many years. The figures are made of fired clay and have a very high expressiveness. They are partly painted and partly natural. For collectors and as decorative items.
