That little plucked instrument called Ronroco is very popular because of its rather original sound. It is native to the South American Andean region. While the dried shell of an armadillo or a turtle was previously used as a sound box, today wood is mainly used for the construction of the instruments. Although the shape of the Ronroco resembles a guitar or a lute, it is usually much smaller than one of these instruments.

This small plucked instrument with the name Ronroco is characterized by its original sound, which is known both from South American pub music and from folklore. In addition, it is also very popular in other music genres, as it creates unusual accents in the music.

Although the shape of the Ronroco resembles a guitar or a lute, it is much smaller than one of these instruments. Stringed with five double strings and the special mood is played or plucked using striking technique.
