Our minerals come from various mines in Peru. Most minerals are not found in nature alone. They sit on so-called "mother rock" and often form "paragenesis" (groups of different minerals one above the other or next to each other). So our minerals are mainly on bedrock and in paragenesis with one or more other minerals that are often found in Peru.

Amethyst (SiO2):

Amethyst is a grown quartz crystal - silicon dioxide with traces of other metals. It varies in color from whitish clear to dark purple. There are good occurrences in Asia, but Europe in particular in South America. The amethyst druses from Brazil are famous.

The amethyst is an old and well-known gemstone for jewelry making. The crystals we offer vary significantly in color and size. The sometimes very beautiful combinations with pyrite and calcedon are particularly outstanding.
