“Huaco” is the common name in Peru for most clay and other porcelain stoneware vessels found in prehispanic times in burial sites, holy places, temples and other ancient ruins. Huacos are not just clay vessels, but also remarkable pottery works of art that were intended for ceremonial and religious purposes in the Central Andes in prehispanic times. The word "Huaco" was derived from the term "Huaca". Huacas are ruins or ancient structures, mostly burial sites, where most of the Huacos were found.
The pieces offered here are replicas / replicas of Huacos that can be seen in various museums.
