There are two large ethnic groups, the Quechuas and Aymaras, who have the right to have domesticated the first alpacas. So their meat (nutrition), wool (clothing) and also feces (fuel) could be used. "Cochiraya - Puno" is a women's cooperative that produces knitwear (unique pieces) from alpaca wool. The cooperative currently has 60 members who work in two small groups, the Tumi and Irpa.
